Shared Moments with Yaya
I recently directed and filmed a personal project with my Yaya Conchi. A reflection on how the simplest traditions often carry the deepest meaning. Lunch at grandma’s was never just about the food; it was about time shared, stories repeated, and the quiet comfort of presence.
Built around stillness, a few motivated lights, and slow, intentional pacing, this piece challenged me to move away from fast edits and focus instead on atmosphere, composition, and emotion. It’s a reminder that storytelling doesn’t always need grand moments—sometimes, it’s enough to hold on to the people who make them matter.
